Pair production as a probe for the dynamics of nuclear fission and <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:mi>α</mml:mi></mml:math> decay

Electron-positron pairs can be produced via the Schwinger mechanism in presence of strong electric fields. In particular, fields involved $\alpha$ decay and nuclear fission are enough to produce them. The energy $e^+e^-$ pair is related relative distance velocity daughter nuclei. Thus, distribution give information about dynamics processes. A neck model used illustrate how as a probe dynamics.
